Things You Must Know About Cheap Longboards

Longboarding is a hobby for many people today but some people can’t afford a premium board. That’s why people like to look for cheap longboards. Generally cheap longboards are around 50-100 bucks but a 50 dollar board can be totally different to an 80 dollar board. An example would be the Atom Pintail Longboard (shown below). That board is 80 dollars and it is really good compared to a 50 dollar board.

Let me give you an example of cheap longboards. I had a friend who bought a 50 dollar board. While he was longboarding, he constantly found that his board could not turn very well at all. However, my 80 dollar board is pretty much a steal compared to it. I’m not saying 50 dollar boards are bad, but what I’m trying to say is just a little upgrade could make a huge difference. Obviously the boards that cost $150 or more are better. In my opinion, for a beginner, you should get something that’s in the general price range of around $100.

There are always some advantages to having cheap longboards than having expensive ones. Some parts may be slightly better than the expensive ones and then  you can show off your friends with you’re cheap longboard and make it look like an excellent board.

Don’t be ashamed with cheap longboards. Be proud if you even have a board. The one thing that can help you decide if the longboard is good is by looking at the user reviews. If the ratings are high, then it’s a pretty good board. However,  you also want to look at what kind of parts the board includes. Make sure parts like the bearings, wheels, etc. are good and know what you’re going to upgrade. Upgrading you’re cheap longboard will make your board look good and perform better. I’m not trying to make you buy upgrades, but it’s just best if you upgrade your board for the better performance.

In the end, there is nothing to be ashamed of buying cheap longboards. I got a cheap longboard myself and I am very satisfied. Just think of this as your first board and you’ll probably get a much better board in the near future.
