Gold Coast Longboards Review

The Gold Coast brand are pretty good at making longboards and skateboards, but here I am to review their longboards. Gold Coast Longboards are actually a pretty good brand considering how not many people know about it. You may think this is just another cheap brand but their boards are just like how Sector 9 makes it. The only difference are that none of the parts are Sector 9 brand but it works well. Although their boards aren’t as cheap as a brand like Krown, but they are still pretty good considering what their price is. I will admit though the price could be a little bit lower but if you keep reading you’ll find out why it is well worth it.

The deck itself are shaped like surfboards which are just like pintail shapes. Wheels are ok but the bearings aren’t that bad. Trucks and bushings are pretty good but there are better ones from other brands. Overall the specifications for their longboards aren’t that bad for beginners.

Like I said earlier their boards are pretty good but it is still highly suggested that you do some upgrades. If you upgrade your board it becomes a custom longboard. Custom longboards are boards that are upgraded into parts that weren’t originally on the board. Upgrading will cost you almost 100 bucks but it is well worth it. I suggest you buy specific parts on your longboard to get the best experience. Wheels I suggest you buy Sector 9 Racing Wheels, bearings I suggest you buy Bones, trucks I suggest you buy Randals, and bushings I suggest you buy Khiro Bushings.

I personally bought the Atom Pintail Longboard, another cheap brand, and upgraded it and I thought it was an excellent board. In the end I spent about 100 bucks, costing my board a total of 180 bucks. That is an example of what a custom longboard would be and benefits from a cheap longboard. Although non of the boards I talked about are Sector 9, they are still really good boards. I must admit though, Sector 9 boards are still better because you don’t need to customize as much of it on the board, but I am still satisfied with the board I have already.

In the end I actually like the Gold Coast Longboards. There aren’t that many bad things to say about it, except for that the board is recommended to be upgraded but other than that is an excellent starter board. Like I said earlier, if you upgrade your board it can become one of the greatest one ever. You don’t have to spend over 400 bucks just to get an awesome board, after the upgrades you’ll spend under 300 bucks for sure. I’m not saying you have to upgrade, but if you don’t want to complain about your board then you should.
