What Should You Know About Longboard Trucks?

Longboard trucks are one of the main parts on the longboard. The trucks hold the wheels and allow you to turn. There are many different brands of trucks but it all depends on its performance. Wider trucks are better but some smaller trucks are good too. I use Gullwing trucks but there are a couple of other brands that are just as good. Here are some examples of trucks that are actually decent, too.

The most common brand of longboard trucks are called Randall Trucks. They commonly have wide trucks (11 inches) and are the most effective ones. Another brand would be Paris Trucks. Most of them are Paris 180s and are just as good as Randalls. Like I said earlier I use Gullwing trucks, which are only 10 inches; however, they work really great as well.

Inside the longboard trucks, there are a couple of little pieces. They are knuts, washers, bushings, trucks, bushings, and one more washer. Another part of the trucks is the part that looks like a box. That part is called the risers. Risers help make the board taller so you could get bigger wheels.

Some advantages of having wider longboard trucks are easier to carve, turn sharper, and also turn quicker. With that said, if you have small trucks then make an upgrade and get wider trucks. Trust me you will feel a big difference between small and wide trucks.

So if you haven’t done so yet, go buy new longboard trucks such as Randalls, or Paris 180s, or Gullwing, etc. You won’t be disappointed with the results you see in your performance.
