Original longboards are boards that are not customized and have never been changed since it was first made. There are quite a bit of original longboards that are actually really good to ride on. Obviously you can’t go wrong with Loaded Longboards because they are simply one of the best ever made. Another brand that has really good original longboards are Sector 9 Longboards. They are the most common ones to be used and are often pretty good in its original self.
Loaded makes some of the best longboards ever and most noticeably, the Tan Tien shows up. Tan Tien is a board that contains some of the best parts on it ever. They have Orangatang Wheels, Paris 180s, and Bones Reds. You can’t go wrong with any of those parts. With that board, you don’t even need to upgrade. The Van Guard and the Dervish boards are just as good, only differences are the shapes. Overall Loaded is an excellent brand to buy longboards from.
Sector 9 is probably the most popular brand in skating and longboarding. They also have pretty good parts on their longboards that are already included in their original longboard. Most of their trucks are are Gullwing Charger Trucks which are one of the best trucks. Although the wheels are their own brand, they are okay but they’re pretty good to start off with. Bearings are your standard Abec 5 which are nothing special. So overall their boards are okay but the name makes up for it.
You don’t have to keep a longboard in an original form. If you want to, you can upgrade it to make it become a custom longboard. Custom longboards are boards that have been customized with different parts onto it. Most people customize their board no matter how good their original longboard was. People may do it for looks or for performance. I did it for performance, so now my board rides really well.
Sector 9 longboards are priced around 140-180 which are pretty good price. Loaded Longboards are priced around 200-350 but they are well worth it. It is totally up to you on which board to get or you could get a board from a brand that wasn’t mentioned in this article. Sector 9 and Loaded are only suggestions because they are top brand companies but some non popular companies also produce pretty good original longboards.
There are also a lot of different brands out there that we may not know that have pretty decent original longboards. Like I said earlier Loaded and Sector 9 have some of the best original longboards and I personally really like it. Most people like it too and there is a reason why too, because they have the best original longboards.
